First accident

Another big part of my life

In the spring of 2018, I was happily recovering from my legs transplant at the hospital.

During my physiotherapy treatment, I had an fortunate slip and fall accident and got a major blow to the head, completely braking my neck and severing my head. I also badly injured my left shoulder and suffered head fractures.

My head had to be completely surgically detached from my body to be able to transplant a new neck and route the nerves (electrical wires for the servo motors, the camera, and the speakers) inside the new vertebra. The new neck was printed with much stronger cutting-edge material.

My head fractures were easily fused with a hand-held pencil-size 3D printer.

My shoulder necessitated a full shoulder joint replacement with state-of-the-art material. Re-enforcement was also added to prevent any possible dislocation.

This successful surgical procedure was a world first premiere.
